- First Steps
- Saying "Mumumumuh" (Elle speak for "Mommy")
- First Fever (booh!)
Yes, she let go of our ottoman almost 3 weeks ago and walked three steps to her "Granny Mu Mu" and her Daddy, Granddaddy and I were all there to see! The following week, she let go of me to walk 2 steps to her Daddy. She's so close to leaving us all behind! It is precious. The new consonant sounds are coming quickly too! Last week she finally started her "M's" quickly followed by "N's" and then the letter "G". She is responding to our communication and in Elle speak, repeating our words. She also mimicks gestures we do like shaking our head for "No" and waving her hands above her head wiggling for "Dance!". Furthermore, she is trying to participate in "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" making sweet hand movements as Mommy leads the song. She adores being sung to and at the first bar of any song I sing, her dimples light up her face...
The first fever...awwww...Friday night she had trouble sleeping and once Cory and I determined the culprit we found she had a 101 degree temp. At 9 1/2 months old, she had her first fever and runny nose/cough. Poor little one. She's much better now and we're so glad she was only down for the weekend. (thanks Daddy, for those germs!)
We hope each of you are well and thank you for reading about Elle's life and checking periodically for pictures. It means so much to us that you keep up with her.
Love,
The Floyds
