We are now back home and in summation, I must say, it was a wonderful time! Elle and I travelled down to Austin and caught up with many special friends. Then we went to Port Aransas and spent 10 days at the coast. It was relaxing and so fun to swim with our baby for the first time. See also pictures of her first playtime in the sand. Elle loved it and even ate some! From there we went back up to Austin, stopping through San Antonio on the way visiting our friends Beth and Andy and precious Miss McKinzie! What an angel she is! We spent another 4 days in Austin seeing more friends and family before finally returning home to Daddy and the Pup-Pups. As the saying goes, it was good to go on vacation and so good to come home!
How blessed Cory and I are to have so many wonderful loved ones in our life. As I travelled so many miles it occurred to me that we have someone special living in most of the cities along the way from one end of the great state of Texas to the other just waiting to take us in, feed us, share "dipes" and even formula! So many of you welcomed us into your home and loved on us and filled up my spirit! Thank you all for taking time out of your busy schedules to visit and catch up with us, and of course, to meet Miss Elle.
I have to send specific messages out...Thank you to Pops and Debbie for your hospitality and downright spoiling!; Candice for staying up late on several "school nights" so we could catch up and gab like old times; to Jacquelyn for meeting Elle with loving tears in your eyes and for giving her a bath 10 minutes after your introduction!; Megan and Ann for joining us at the beach for the most TAME girls' weekend yet--the late night talks on the balcony watching the moon rise over the ocean and extra "Mommy eyes" on Elle helping me keep her safe and Ann's good cooking-We'll get you a nonstick skillet next time!!; Beth, Andy and McKinzie for the San Antonio pit-stop and sharing your Number Two's with us and that rattle that accidentally found its way into our bag!; Susan and Don for the playtime and "carpet picnic" and video to Daddy-you are truly web-savvy and we're so impressed!; Nat and George for spending the day with us and even playing hookie to do so; and Liz and Norm for the sweet gift and also for staying up late to visit with us-I can't wait for you to give Elle a Playmate (and that goes for all my friends!); finally to my mom and dad for extending their own vacation to meet up with E and I in Dallas to give us company on the last leg of our trip home; and Cory, for sharing us with so many wonderful people during our time away-Home is always where YOU are!...How truly blessed we are to have you all in our lives. Its so great to see you and to pick up where we left off the last time; as if no time has gone by at all.
Lots of Love to each of you,
Summer
